    The house is absolutely gorgeous. We arrived just before sunset and the back porch was the perfect place to watch the colors of the sky changing. The house is listed as a 3 bedroom, but what a fantastic surprise to find it is actually 4 bedrooms. The kitchen is large and plenty of room for multiple people to be working. The only feedback is that there are not enough glasses, coffee mugs, steak knives and bowls for 12 guests and the rocking chairs on the back porch were old and breaking. Other than that the property was fantastic.

    We visited NC first going through Maggie Valley and stopping in Harrah's at Cherokee, on up the mountain then to Wavyleaf Retreat. We enjoyed the welcoming Christmas lights of Gatlinburg and the beauty of Pigeon Forge's décor at nights and the those we observed during the day. Walked the strips and shopped until we dropped to feast on good eats several times. a couple of complaints on the cabin, first the curled up corner of the kitchen rug which caused quite a chaos to all of us with us nearly falling. Secondly was the bugs we were bothered with. Hated to leave but work was calling.

    Amazing cabin!!! We stayed at The Preserve for a wedding that a family member was having. Others in our group rented various cabins in the Resort. Ours was by far the best. Plus, the ease of check in/out made it even better.

    This was my first cabin in the mountain experience and it was great! That ride up and down the mountainous roads were a little overwhelming BUT the view was so worth it! The only problem we faced was when we tried to use the hot tub the last night and it never got hot. It was late night when we found time to use it so we didn't contact the rental owners. All in all it was a great experience!!

    The cabin pretty much looked liked the pictures. It was cleaned pretty well when we got there as well. The view was great, and it was very spacious for the 12 of us. There were a few things I didn't really care for. 1) The jacuzzi tub (as I have read before in other reviews and fully expected, but now have experienced) only half of the jets work. It also does not get super hot, but I think it was at the temp it said it was at. 2) I did not like that the pool closed at 9. I pulled up with both of my kids at about 859 and was told it was closed. It would have been nice to be able to swim even in the darker times. 3) There was a SERIOUS problem of little black winged moth/gnats in my bathroom. I'm talking about 100 of the things flying around. I didn't report this to management, in their defense, because I didn't want to take the risk of having to change cabins. But it really needs to be bug bombed in there. Taking my jacuzzi bath with alive and dead carcasses of bugs all over the edge of the tub was NOT very satisfying. Other than that, great stay!

    Wavyleaf Retreat was awesome! The home had plenty of room for the six of us! This home could easily fit 10 people though! The view was awesome and we had no problems checking in or out! The house was clean and very nice with plenty of room! We encountered no problems at all! Eden Crest did a wonderful job and is a great company to rent from! The drive is high up on the mountain so if your afraid of heights keep your eyes closed! I would love to rent this home again and would recommend it to anyone! Dollywood is not far from the cabin, maybe a 30 minute drive because of the traffic. There is plenty to do in all nearby towns!

    We recently stayed at Appalachian Lookout for a getaway with our daughter and grandson. The cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable, wonderfully arranged for privacy, and close enough to area attractions and yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious mountain stay. The staff at Eden Crest were easy to work with and we encountered no problems and have no complaints. We will definitely rent this property again.

    Had a wonderful time at this cabin. Amazing view as well. We had a group of 6 and everyone loved it. Looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Only thing i would say could be better is the couches, they seem pretty worn and not very comfortable for extended amounts of time. Overall I am extremely satisfied with our stay and we will be back for sure to this same cabin. Thank you for the amazing stay!

    My stay was a family gathering with me and my for boys who are all grown that met me there. The cabin was so nice. The boys really enjoyed the game room and playing pool. It was on seasonably warm so I got to enjoy the deck in the mornings with my coffee and enjoy the incredible View. The cabin was in close proximity to Pigeon Forge and we enjoyed going into town shopping and eating and activities. We will definitely use eatoncrest again for our gatherings.

    The RENTAL experience was effortless-very easy! Everything is electronic. This property is beautiful w/ awesome views. We arrived on Friday and had maintenance requests on Saturday & Sunday (one repeat issue w/ a toilet). The staff was professional and offered good service. My suggestions would be: Update the furniture (sofas, love seats, bar stools), large TV upstairs, bathroom toilet dowstairs and floor vent that WAS in the kitchen (now next to fireplace).

    The cabin was exactly as described with a great view of the Smokies. It was very comfortable and clean.
    However, the management office was disappointing. I had requested a late check-out around 2PM at the time of booking of the cabin and had been told that would be fine as long as no one was checking-in after us. When I asked for the late check-out during by our stay, I was told that they can't do it even though no one was checking-in after us. In general, the customer we vice during our stay was very average.

    Our experience was very positive. The staff were very accommodating & helpful. Customer service was courteous & prompt. The cabin layout was very spacious & the kitchen had lots of storage with plenty of counter space. The pool & gym were very nice & within walking distance. The view from the cabin & pool were fantastic! While we were there we enjoyed Dollywood, Splash Country, Zip Line & hiking. I would like to recommend guard rails on the the road to the cabin.

    Cabin was perfect for the seven of us with the exception of the washer and dryer. For this cabin to accommodate so many people, the washer and dryer are extremely too small.

    For our seniors, the couches were not suitable. They used kitchen chairs for sitting.

    The location worked perfect for those who wanted to shop in Pigeon Forge and those who wanted to spend a lot of time in Cades Cove.

    The game area, with the large TV, was perfect for the four year old.

    One man's junk, is another man's treasure. The cabin was very nice & clean. The beds were by far, the most comfortable we have ever slept in. They did not want to let you go, in the mornings...lol The road getting up to cabin, was down right scary. The traffic noise below us, became abit annoying. One of the Jacuzzis didn't work and there must have been a short in the shower light, as it decided to come on at will. However, these were all small annoyances. The overall enjoyment was the whole picture here and it was nice. Originally, there were 8 family members due to come. But ended up with only 3, so plenty of room to go around.

    Had a great time at this cabin. Beautiful view of the mountains across Wear Valley. Snowed a little bit which made the snow caps that much more amazing. Loved the décor for this cabin and plenty of space. There were a couple of facility things that weren't working. Outside hot tub only had a few jets working. The inside Jacuzzi on the first floor bedroom to the right as you entered the cabin didn't work at all. The golf video game upstairs in the game area screen was very faded and you couldn't see it to play the game. In all fairness, I did not bring these things to the attention of management, as I was occupied with other activities during our stay. It was only the two of us so we were able to use the other bedroom's Jacuzzi and didn't have time to play the video games that much anyway. Overall, it was a great cabin with a great rental staff. I'm sure if I had made the effort to note these things, there is no doubt it would have been handled ASAP.

    This is a beautiful cabin to rent. Lots of the cozy home features, plenty of room in the cabin not to be under each other's feet. The beautiful dining room table gets the 7 of us with lots of room for platters of food. I have two suggestions to make this stay nicer, leave an inexpensive vacuum for guest to use on the floors, and to make the mattress a little more comfortable put a memory foam topper on them. House keeping needs to realize the shines on those blinds to dust them and under the pool table and air hockey

    The overall experience was enjoyable. There were some glitches that the property management company should have been aware of and addressed prior to our stay. The jetted bathtub in one of the bedrooms did not work. The thermostat on the outdoor hot tub had to be reset. There were light bulbs out over the upstairs shower and over the stove. The maintenance man, Joey, was responsive and very helpful.

    We used Eden Crest app throughout and never had to see or speak with a real person! all instructions were clearly provided electronically and directions to the place was clear and accurate. everything went without a hitch. Clean, beautifully decorated and spacious cabin. well equipped kitchen and a very tranquil surroundings. the jacuzzi tub needs attention--the water in the tub smelled bad. game tables and giant screen TV and TV in all BRs kept kids busy. felt like staying indoors but the beautiful nature outside failed to keep us inside for too long. Wish we had more time to spend in the cabin. will visit again.

    We enjoyed the cabin. The area has good access to the Park and to commercial areas. The view is fabulous (when it is not foggy!) The cabin was very nice and very spacious. We would recommend a better equipped kitchen. The cookware and utensils, etc are too sparse.

    I am so glad we chose to stay here! The cabin was beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. It was well maintained. Some furniture and carpeting were showing wear, but frankly, it made me stress less about my kids messing the place up! When we booked the cabin, we were concerned about the location of the cabin being further from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge than we originally wanted, but it ended up not being an issue at all. In fact, we were able to explore more of the surrounding areas and discover the "hidden gems" because we weren't fighting traffic constantly. When we did go into town, the drive wasn't long and it was breathtaking. The staff at the Preserve were incredibly helpful in finding good hiking trails and restaurants nearby. The couple of maintenance problems we had during our stay were taken care of immediately by Eden Crest. Using their mobile app really streamlined the process of our stay. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

    The stay was really great! Everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously. The only problem was the stopper for the sink in the upstairs bathroom wasn't working. The stopper had to be removed so the water could drain out. Everything else seem to be in great working order. We were a little concerned with children feeding the bears.     We booked this cabin because of how close it was to the Wedding Chapel in the Preserve and it was just the right size for our family. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we were well pleased. I did read the online reviews prior to coming so I was aware of previous comments which probably helped set my expectations. In comparison to other luxury cabins I have stayed in, I have to agree that this cabin is due for some furniture updates and could use a few more dishes. Other than that, it was great.

    The cabin was gorgeous as was the view, unless, you looked right or left. The agent who booked did not relay the fact that Appalachian Lookout was in a group of 3 houses literally side by side. The guests next door had a party all night Friday night and while it was not loud inside the cabin, it was impossible to sit on the porch because of the noise. I did not call and complain as I didn't see any point since we did sleep good that night. The cabin directions were incorrect in the mileage and we took a wrong turn(at night) but finally made our way to the cabin. It was a bit dated but clean and I appreciated the small sizes of toiletries. I was disappointed that the towels were so cheaply made but they worked. I was also disappointed that there were not enough pans to cook a meal properly. I did not want a gourmet kitchen but a few more pans and some salt would have been appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and the kids loved the game room.

    The cabin was beautiful and view was worth the money! Needs full length mirror somewhere/ANYWHERE! Need more mirrors upstairs in bedrooms. The rocking chairs were broken even after maintenance man came and checked them out. Which he came the next evening-1 day after we called. So called "theatre setup" was no such thing. No surround sound, no blue ray player, all equipment was outdated and wired wrong. The Wi-Fi user name and password is incorrect on the wall beside front door. The Eden Crest app was more confusing than anything. The pool key code was wrong and did not list gym key code. The lower deck door knob was backwards and the dead bolt gets stuck. There was no dust pan ANYWHERE in the cabin. The lower master suite (behind hot tub on deck) the bathroom door locks but would not latch. People kept walking in on each other. The website lists an ironing board but no iron, there was 2 in cabin. Packed things that weren't needed. The bannister by hot tub was loose, scary for my children to play beside. Too many switches for lights & fans so confusing could help if labeled. Main complaint was mirror issues and Wi-Fi ID/ password and so called theatre setup.

    Cabin was nice and the View was beautiful. The cabin needs some detailed cleaning...bugs in the window sills...slats broken on rocking chairs...upstairs furniture looks like it came from a thrift store and needs to be updated...we couldn't even use the hot tub because the step stool to get into the hot tub was rotted and broken we called Eden Crest and requested a new step stool to get into hot tub and they never brought us was appalling to us that the cleaning staff would have left a broken stool next to the hot tub. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and so was location of cabin...beautiful view. Owner of cabin definitely needs to update some of furnishings and touch base with cleaning staff in regards to detailed cleaning and Eden Crest needs to follow through on problems that arise during a guest stay that is what they get paid to do!

      We are sorry that you did not enjoy your cabin choice. The step stool that you are referring to was not a step stool but rather a table that a previous guest apparently moved in front of the hot tub. We are very sorry that you thought it was a stool and that you assumed that we would be able to replace it for you. The table has been removed. We are also sorry to hear that you did not like the wood rocking chairs on the porch. Some like the rustic charm of aged wood. If you had told us about any loose slats we would have fixed them for you. We could have also sent the cleaners back to address any issues if you had mentioned them when you checked in. We take cleaning very seriously and all of our cleaners will return to immediately address any issues if we are told about them at check-in. Sadly there is little we can do to coach or address cleaning issues now that you have left. Each cabin is privately owned so the owner’s personally choose the décor and amenities. We will share your comments with the owner and if they choose to make any updates to the cabin the photos will reflect the changes.

    We had a lovely time at the Appalachian Lookout. The view is gorgeous and the cabin was nice! A few recommendations: The kitchen knives need sharpening, they are very dull. There is not a full set of cutlery. The wine opener was broken. The air hockey table was missing a puck. The bed pillows are not comfortable. The open bibles in every room were kind of creepy. If you handle those few things, you'll have a five star cabin! Thanks!!

    THE CABIN WAS VERY NICE COUPLE ISSUES FOUND, THE TUB HANDLE WAS BROKEN OFF,THE DRYER HAD HAIR IN IT AND THE WASHER WAS NOT CLEANED.
